Get a good night's sleep, eat a solid meal beforehand, stay hydrated, and avoid alcohol or blood thinners at least 24 hours before your appointment.

We usually suggest avoiding numbing cream since it can impact how your tattoo heals. However, it might be helpful for more sensitive areas like the throat, ribs, or stomach. Feel free to discuss this with your artist!

Certain medications like antibiotics, blood thinners, steroids, anti-inflammatories, and Accutane can affect your tattoo or healing process. If you’re unsure, it’s always best to check with your doctor before getting tattooed.

No, it's not recommended to get a tattoo while you're pregnant or nursing. During pregnancy, your body is more sensitive, and there's a small risk of infection or allergic reaction. While breastfeeding, certain infections—even rare ones—could potentially be passed to your baby. It's safest to wait until after this period to ensure the best health for both you and your child.
